The sequel of It Started With A Kiss begins with Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu’s wedding and honeymoon. Even after marriage, they experience problems and interferences within their marriage such as mistaken pregnancy, misunderstandings, and new found jealousies. Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu switch to medical school to become nurse and doctor. During that time, Zhi Shu meets new rivals who wish to outdo him and Xiang Qin makes four new friends, and one of them likes her and wishes to replace Zhi Shu.

How will their lives turn out to be?

Ariel Lin as Yuan Xiang Qin
Joe Cheng as Jiang Zhi Shu
Jiro Wang as Jin Yuan Feng/ Ah Jin

I started watching this last year, but I had to stop because I can’t  bear to watch Xiang Qin, as she makes a fool of herself again. And though I love Joe Cheng, I really hate him for being so mean to Xiang Qin. She’s a really lovable girl and often, I wish she would find someone who really deserves her. But when Zhi Shu becomes sweet and romantic, God. I melt. Then I start thinking, Joe Cheng is so hot and I think Xiang Qin can’t find any other guy like him.

Going to the review, the opening song wasn’t as catchy as the first one. In fact, all the songs in the series were not as beautiful and catchy like the first ones- Practical Joke, Say You Love Me and others.

The story, on the other hand, is still entertaining like last time. It’s still funny, sad, and exciting. Though, it’s also very sweet as you often see Xiang Qin and Zhi Shu together, cuddling and hugging. But then, there’s always a but, they still fight and Zhi Shu still makes Xiang Qin cry and was constantly man to her, even saying that she doesn’t want to register as a married couple. Ah Jin is still as pathetic, in a good way, as ever. But his exposure is not that often and his character development became slow. Yushu, Zhi Shu’s brother was also not as cute as before. He’s grown up now and he’s not as naughty and snobbish which made me sad. The in-laws on the other hand, were still as annoying and naggy as ever.

The actors are still as good as ever. Joe Cheng still maintaining his cool and hard to approach image perfectly, Ariel Lin still making me cry when she does and well, Ah Jin still making me feel really depressed when he is.

Over all, the second installation of It Started with a Kiss, though a little bit inferior to the first one, its still worthy of being a sequel. It’s a must watch!

Will the close proximity give her a second chance to win Zhi Shu’s heart? Or, will her love for him end under his cold words? What happens when there is competition for his heart?

Why is it my favorite?

Hmm. Doing this is actually like writing a review. So, I guess thats fine. But I’m going to update this from time to time. I’d watched these live actions years. or year ago, so it’s not that fresh on my mind. But I’ll try giving a fair review to these live actions.

You guys don’t know what I have to go through to watch all episodes of this Live Action! Yes, I had to go through something. I came from a country with no internet limitation but it’s very very slow. And since I live near a place called Tunko, which have little stores in the bangketa, which means the side of the street, I just go there and buy pirated DVDs. Of course, since it’s much easier and better to buy the DVD I did. Coz in my country, the dramas are dubbed. The voice actors are own celebrities and trust me. They’re SO BAD! Also, the dramas in TV are full of cuts. Anyway, this DVD I bought is, without a doubt, made by stupid morons. In terms of Subtitle, that is. I’m good at English, and I”m not bragging. So when I watched that DVD I felt all my English language knowledge going down the drain. I can’t believe how people can be so stupid with an easy language such as English. Honestly, I don’t remember the exact words but, it was so depressing and frustrating at the same time. There were times when I was like, WTH? It’s like speaking to my MAlaysian friend who’s studying English. You know the feeling when you just want to correct them and say BAKA!?
Anyway, into the review, please. Okay. First is the STORY.

Think about it. I was able to go through 30 episodes, what do think that means? What does it mean to go through 30 episodes of a Taiwanese drama with Morenglish subtitle? Of course it can only mean one thing. IT’S WORTH IT. The story is funny and it’s not rushed or anything. It has its own pace. You really get sucked into their world and when watching it, it feels like you’re there too. The main plot is not original. A girl who’s stupid and a guy who’s the best. Girl fell in love. Boy will fall in love(?!) But the conflicts and twists are different. Why? Well, because girl has to live with guy after he dumps her! Not enough to convince you? How about if girl went to guy’s apartment and was about to give him  a gift- a very beautiful one- and girl imagines guy in various circumstances such as gay? playboy? sex maniac? And what if the girl has that wild imagination always? Still not enough? Alright. I’ll try again. What if the guy’s mom likes girl so much that she’s willing to do everything to  bring them together? And oh, I mean EVERYTHING. Okay… Still not enough? Then this is my last card. My triumph card. The guy who the girl likes and the other guy who likes the girl are incredibly HOT! Huh! See! Your convinced!

Now that I told you about the hotties in the drama, let’s move on to CHARACTERS. The development is good. The characters are lovable especially the main ones. Ariel Lin is a very good actress. I can say this because every time she does something really silly for Zi SHu, I literally want to smash our TV and hide under the bed. That’s how effective she is. Joe Cheng, aside from making me all hot and flustered, also makes me want to kill him sometimes. He’s hot but very cold towards Xiang Qin but really loves her. You could really feel it. The comedic part of the series plays well alongside the drama and romance. Also, Jiro Wang, the guy who likes Ariel Lin in the film, portrayed his character well. He’s pathetic, at the same time very lovable. He’s hardworking and he tries his best for his love. Sadly, Xiang Qin doesn’t love him back. Over all, all characters made a good impression to me and they have a little, yet special place in my heart.

The MOVIE. It was okay. the location, I mean setting, is good. the actors are also good. Every thing’s good. I really love it. I particularly love one part. Coz it has great effcts. Spoilers. Okay?

Zi SHu got engage to this girl and during their date, he left her to be with Xiang qin. Starting from that part, when Zi Shu’s imagining Xiang Qin, to the part where the girl put the ring in the water, wine, then went out, look sideways, then left. The effects was really good. I can’t particularly describe it but it’s like the effects made you feel it more and… arg. Just watch it. You’ll see.

Okay. The scores. STORY: 9/10; CHARACTERS: 9/10; MOVIE: 9/10

OVER ALL: WHat do you think? 10/10. it’s not perfect. But you can really enjoy it. It makes you laugh, cry, imagine, love and dream. A really good drama.
