Review I’ve been wanting to watch this film ever since I saw the synopsis way back. I thought it was interesting to find out about her trip back to time and to know her story. I wasn’t disappointed when I watched it. I laughed, I felt sad, I cried.
Her story was set in different eras showing her childhood to her adulthood and eventually when she’s very old. Though the story were very fun to watch and sad to see, you will always wonder every chance you get, is this reality or her films? What she’s narrating is supposed to be her life, but there were magazines of her, in those costumes suggesting that she played those roles. Now, there is also the witch who cursed her to burn in eternity for true love. Fiction? Reality? When you watch it, you decide.
The characters are all lovable- even the camera man who just complains and complains. It was also fun to watch the director’s reactions in the “flashback.”
Over all this film is definitely a must see. The stories are for everybody. It makes you laugh, smile and then along the way, question yourself if there really is a love that will make you cross different times just to get to that person. It will also make you cry, when you learn that not because you believe in something means it can become true. Sometimes, it just doesn’t work that way. Then you’ll wonder… if her love for him was real. If it was really him she wanted not the chase. Lastly, you’ll find yourself cursing me for being so philosophical. Well, sorry. Over all the score is 9/10.
